Why We Built This Site
Michigan gives the public access to a great deal of court information, but knowing which office holds a particular record is the hard part. A warrant does not sit in one place. The court that signs it sets the charge and any bail term. The sheriff is the agency that serves it and can say whether it has been executed. A failure-to-appear matter stays with the court that already had the case, which in Clare County is usually the 80th District Court. Some states run a central warrant database. Michigan does not, and the state criminal-history product expressly leaves warrant information out.
That means it is easy to check one office, come up empty, and draw the wrong conclusion. We collect the contacts, the search tools, the request steps, and the local terminology for the offices that matter here, so a reader can begin in the right place instead of working through five websites.
What You Will Find Here
- Warrant checks: how to look up a case through the county warrant check, by name, date of birth, or case number
- Open orders: what an active warrant search can and cannot show, and why the court is the only confirmation
- Missed dates: how bench warrants start and which court controls the recall
- Charged offenses: how arrest warrants are issued, served, and followed by an arraignment
- Traffic cases: how a citation becomes an FTA and a court warrant, and how to pay or lift it
- City citations: where city court warrant questions actually belong in this county
What We Cannot Do
This is a private reference site. It has no connection to any Michigan court, to the Clare County Sheriff's Office, or to any city or state agency. The limits are real:
- We cannot run an official check or confirm that a warrant exists for any person
- We cannot recall, quash, clear, or remove a warrant from any system
- We cannot post bond or accept payment toward a warrant or a fine
- We cannot schedule a court date, an arraignment, or a surrender
- We cannot give legal advice or apply the law to a specific case
- We cannot promise that every phone number, hour, or fee on this site is current at the moment you read it
Only the court that issued an order or the sheriff's office that serves it can confirm whether a warrant exists and whether it has been recalled or cleared. This site can point to the right office. The answer has to come from that office.
Search Partners
A few pages here carry search boxes that are operated by outside providers. Those companies set their own prices and run their own systems. If a search leads to a paid signup, this site may earn a referral fee, and that revenue helps keep the reference material free to read. We do not control the fees those tools charge or what their results contain, and their output is not an official warrant check. A court or sheriff record is the only document that settles a warrant question.
